Hoya multiflora complex

There are a lot of discussions about true H. multiflora. Several forms from many locations have been in cultivation. Text descriptions in literatures are not clear for corona shape making very hard to ID. The only thing to ID the true multiflora is to tract back to the type specimen (holotype). The type specimen of H. multiflora was collected in west Java, so the plants collected in Java should be true H. multiflora. The clone IML0153 is from Java and it should be true H. multiflora. H. javanica is a doubtful ID of plants from the Philippines which have stems and leafs anthocyanin free. The clone SV406 has outer corona lobes different from IML0153; however, SV406 has been considered as true H. multiflora. H. lii is easy to distinguish from the others by having short and blunt outer corona lobes.
