Vine. Foliage with spase indumentum. Lamina succulent, less than 10 cm long, strongly recurved at margins; secondaty venation prominent; colleters absent.
Occurs in Qld on CapeYork Peninsula and several offshore islands. Grows in foreshore monsoon vine thickets in sand. Flowers May-June; Fruit 3-4 months later.
Mainland populations of the species on Cape York Peninsula north of 12°28'S are usually Hoya australis subsp. sanae
